Working On Sundays

This is a still life oil painting dedicated to a seven-day work week. Due to my family's financial needs, getting quality time with my father was hard but he made it work. Breakfast foods and power tools are some of my fondest childhood memories. Together we spent many weekends grabbing breakfast at a local mom-and-pop shop before heading to his job site. Like many immigrant children, it is easy to look back at our childhood and want to change some things. Yet, a Sunday morning spent working and getting yelled at for grabbing the wrong tools will always be priceless.
